Senior Resident Engineer

About the Role

Hill International, Inc. is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position requires a professional with extensive experience in managing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage works across all disciplines to ensure compliance with contract requirements, specifications, standards, and safety cases.
• Direct site inspectors on Health and Safety performance, hazard and risk identification, and reporting.
• Maintain continuous communication with client representatives regarding project progress and areas of concern.
• Propose in-house Project Management procedures that align with contract requirements and client procedures.
• Establish and maintain specific project procedures for Design/Construction Supervision Management, as applicable.
• Prepare special reports to investigate problems related to the Scope of Services and recommend effective solutions.
• Identify priorities and tasks, and develop the organizational structure to ensure task execution by providing clear direction on methods, timeframe, and schedule.
• Clearly define the roles and responsibilities of Hill International staff.
• Attend Executive and progress meetings.
• Monitor performance to ensure successful delivery of Key Performance Indicators and client contractual requirements.
• Advise the Client on potential variations to the Consultants' and Contractor's scope of work that may impact cost or time, and present assessments.
• Lead Hill International staff in assessing variations and claims, and report the technical position of proposed variations to the Client.
• Advise the Client of any foreseen progress slippage and propose corrective actions.
• Review weekly and monthly reports from Consultants and Contractors, presenting comments on non-compliance, areas of concern, and corrective actions to the Client.
• Coordinate with the Design Manager during the detailed design stage to ensure design compliance with client requirements and avoid cost impacts.
• Assist in the preparation of the Project Management Plan (PMP) and Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Ensure continued compliance with relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures within Hill International.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of contract requirements, specifications, and safety standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, within the Eastern region. The role involves working closely with client representatives, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success.
