About the Assistant, Bar Sorter Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking an Assistant, Bar Sorter to join our operations team in Dammam. This full-time position is critical for supporting the efficient and accurate sorting of rebars, ensuring compliance with production schedules and quality standards. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting.

Purpose of the Role

The Assistant, Bar Sorter provides direct support to Bar Sorters in the segregation of rebars based on size, grade, and batch. This role is fundamental to maintaining the integrity of material flow, facilitating accurate delivery, and ensuring that all sorted materials meet the required specifications for subsequent processes or dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Bar Sorters in the identification and segregation of rebars according to specific production requirements.
• Support the movement of sorted bars to designated stacking or storage locations within the facility.
• Aid in the safe transport and handling of rebars within the sorting and cooling bed areas.
• Ensure the safe stacking and proper alignment of bars to prevent damage and maintain an organized workspace.
• Contribute to the routine maintenance and cleaning of sorting equipment and the immediate work environment.
• Report any observed equipment faults, malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with Bar Sorters, Cooling Bed Operators, and Forklift Operators to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate any production or quality-related issues to supervisors as required.
• Adhere strictly to all established safety protocols and consistently wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free sorting area to promote a safe work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar operational environment.
• Basic understanding of bar sorting operations and material handling principles.
• Demonstrated physical capability to perform manual material handling tasks safely and efficiently.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Effective communication skills for clear interaction within a team and with supervisors.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative abilities to work alongside various operational roles.
• Solid knowledge of workplace safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
