About the Role

Aujan Coca-Cola Beverages Company (ACCBC) is seeking an Inbound Logistics Specialist to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role is central to managing and optimizing inbound logistics operations for the KSA (ASDI) and UAE (DIP) plants, ensuring the efficient flow of materials.

Role Overview

The Inbound Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating with suppliers, overseeing shipment bookings, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and packaging materials to company facilities. This position requires meticulous handling of all logistical details, including customs clearance and financial reporting, to uphold stringent delivery schedules and cost parameters in alignment with ACCBC's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Supply Chain (SC) team to review and confirm orders with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier compliance to ensure adherence to scheduled shipping dates.
• Strategically negotiate freight rates to optimize cost-efficiency and identify the most efficient shipping methods and courier routes.
• Coordinate scheduling, manage logistics workflows, and oversee the processing of all shipping documentation.
• Ensure accurate and secure archiving of digital and physical shipping documents, including manifests, invoices, and bills of lading.
• Manage forwarders to maintain competitive freight rates and reduce or avoid demurrage charges.
• Conduct periodic reviews of logistics contracts and supplier terms to ensure favorable conditions.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives that reduce logistics expenses without compromising service quality.
• Update and maintain comprehensive logistics reports that track shipment metrics, costs, and timelines.
• Regularly update management and relevant departments on logistics status and any issues encountered.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company reporting requirements and prepare monthly accruals in collaboration with the SC Planning Team.
• Own and utilize the inbound logistics tracking system (Shipsy) to ensure data accuracy and adherence to standards by internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams to align logistics operations with broader company goals and support team members in achieving logistics-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a logistics role within a freight forwarding, customs clearing, or shipping company.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Familiarity with import/export procedures and documentation.
• Good knowledge of port operations and customs/tax clearance processes.
• Understanding of cross-cultural and global logistics issues.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively under challenging circumstances within a multicultural team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
• Strong attention to detail and sound reasoning to identify and escalate errors quickly.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Analytical thinker with an affinity for numbers.
• Strong result orientation, teamwork, cooperation, and integrity.
