About the Role

Exergy is seeking an experienced On-Site Machinist for its operations in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves precision machining activities at customer sites and within the workshop, focusing on industrial equipment repair and modification across major industrial facilities in Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The On-Site Machinist will be responsible for executing precision machining, repair, modification, and restoration work on industrial equipment and components. This position requires a strong background in on-site/field machining and the ability to work according to engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances. The role will involve frequent travel to industrial plants, refineries, power stations, and other customer facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and workshop machining activities, including boring, milling, grinding, and drilling.
• Set up and operate portable machining equipment at customer locations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Inspect components to determine appropriate machining or repair requirements.
• Execute precision machining and fabrication of components for valves, pumps, compressors, gears, and other industrial equipment.
• Align equipment for boring, grinding, and milling operations.
• Support the repair, modification, and restoration of mechanical components.
• Perform TIG welding and associated fabrication activities as required.
• Assemble components using hand and power tools.
• Inspect finished work to ensure dimensions and quality requirements are met.
• Document machining processes, materials, consumables, inspections, and completed work.
• Provide technical updates and feedback to the Project Manager/Supervisor.
• Adhere to customer and company HSE requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience as a Machinist.
• Demonstrated background in on-site/field machining and precision machining.
• Experience with industrial equipment repair.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Previous field-based experience working at industrial plants, refineries, and power stations is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
