About the Maintenance Manager Role

Ethra For Human Resources Consulting is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee plant maintenance operations. This full-time position is based in Dammam and requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance management within a plant or manufacturing environment.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring all critical equipment, production-related machinery, and supporting assets are maintained safely and effectively. This includes managing the plant's maintenance function, overseeing a large team, and ensuring smooth plant operations through coordination with Production and Quality Control departments.

• Implementing and updating preventive maintenance programs for all critical plant equipment.
• Managing equipment breakdowns and ensuring timely repairs.
• Overseeing and supervising maintenance staff, including engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Ensuring the availability of critical spare parts and defining minimum stock levels.
• Coordinating with Production and QC departments to support plant operations.
• Handling planning, reporting, maintenance cost tracking, and operational support.
• Ensuring equipment can be operated safely and effectively.
• Attending project planning and management review meetings.
• Ensuring logistics-related assets, such as vehicles and forklifts, are in good working condition.
• Developing and initiating improved maintenance systems, procedures, and policies to enhance plant maintenance efficiency.
• Assisting maintenance staff in performing maintenance, repairs, renovations, and operations of buildings, equipment, and systems.
• Diagnosing malfunctions and determining repair, service, and maintenance requirements for equipment and facilities.
• Monitoring maintenance staff performance and providing direction and support.
• Organizing, managing, and tracking maintenance progress and costs in line with production and scheduling requirements.
• Supporting the company’s safety program in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Notifying the IMTE controller regarding shifting equipment for repair or other purposes when calibration is required.
• Managing hands-on technical maintenance activities alongside administrative and team management responsibilities.
• Supporting plant operations by ensuring cranes, compressors, hydraulic systems, gears, and rotary equipment are properly maintained.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a strong foundation in maintenance management and engineering principles.

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in maintenance management within a plant or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Hands-on experience in preventive maintenance planning, breakdown management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in maintaining gears, rotary equipment, cranes, and compressors.
• Strong ability to manage spare parts planning and critical stock levels.
• Proven ability to manage a large maintenance team, including engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Previous experience in pipe manufacturing, including spiral, longitudinal, or seamless pipes, is preferred.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia in a similar role is preferred.
