About the Production Planning Engineer Role

CemServ is seeking a Production Planning Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role is central to developing, coordinating, and optimizing production plans. The primary objective is to ensure customer requirements are consistently met on time while maximizing manufacturing efficiency, resource utilization, inventory control, and overall production capacity.

Role Context and Objectives

The Production Planning Engineer serves as a critical link across various departments, including Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, Production, and Logistics. This position is responsible for balancing customer demand with available manufacturing capabilities and resources to maintain operational flow and achieve production targets effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop short, medium, and long-term production plans and schedules.
• Balance customer demand with available manufacturing capacity and resources.
• Monitor and optimize machine, labor, and resource utilization to improve operational efficiency.
• Analyze sales forecasts, customer orders, and production requirements to support effective capacity planning.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure material availability and prevent production disruptions.
• Monitor inventory levels while supporting inventory optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, Logistics, Maintenance, and other stakeholders.
• Track production performance and recommend improvement actions.
• Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Prepare production planning reports, capacity analyses, and dashboards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, fabrication, or project-based industries.

Preferred Industry Background

Candidates with prior experience in steel fabrication or industrial equipment manufacturing are preferred for this role. This background will be beneficial in understanding the specific production challenges and requirements within CemServ's operational context.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, within the Eastern region. The role requires on-site presence to effectively manage and coordinate production planning activities.
