About the Role

Saudia Dairy & Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) is seeking a Quality Control Officer to join our team in Dammam. This full-time position is central to maintaining our high standards of product quality and food safety within the plant operations. The Quality Control Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the Quality and Food Safety management system, ensuring all products consistently meet specified requirements through diligent monitoring, testing, and inspection.

Core Purpose and Contribution

The primary objective of this role is to ensure strict adherence to Quality and Food Safety processes. The officer will actively liaise with various stakeholders to facilitate immediate corrective actions when necessary. Furthermore, this position supports the development of essential competencies among all relevant personnel, fostering a comprehensive understanding and effective implementation of requirements to achieve established Quality and Food Safety targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the Quality and Food Safety Policy and fulfill all assigned responsibilities within the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
• Conduct inspections and analyses on raw materials, packaging materials, processing stages, and finished products against specifications, as per the inspection plan, and prepare corresponding reports.
• Monitor adherence to Food Safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and hygiene requirements.
• Perform behavioral safety observations as directed by the plant Quality and Food Safety Manager.
• Execute online testing of quality parameters in accordance with program requirements.
• Identify and communicate deviations to stakeholders, ensuring immediate and appropriate corrective actions, including the hold and release of nonconforming products as per established procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis and trend analysis for Quality and Food Safety incidents.
• Verify and validate undertaken actions to confirm their effectiveness in delivering required improvements.
• Support the Quality and Food Safety training program as assigned by the plant Quality and Food Safety Manager.
• Perform Sanitation and Pest Control verification according to procedural requirements.
• Provide Quality and Food Safety advice, guidance, and coaching to the plant team, and identify common competency gaps for inclusion in relevant training programs.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Quality and Food Safety Management System through active participation as assigned.
• Recognize and promote positive behaviors and practices related to quality and safety.
• Ensure the calibration of all Quality and Food Safety control equipment, including metal detectors, primary and secondary weighers, check weighers, X-rays, seal checkers, and balances.
• Execute any other actions or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager that align with and support the job's main purpose.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in quality control or food safety within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated understanding and practical experience with Quality and Food Safety management systems, GMPs, and hygiene requirements.
• Proficiency in conducting inspections, analyses, and root cause investigations.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports.

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a plant environment, requiring active participation in monitoring and verification activities.
