About the Role

Matar Al-Baqami Holding is seeking a Quality Inspector - HVAC Coil to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role is essential for maintaining the highest quality standards for HVAC coils throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, from initial production stages to final dispatch.

Role Purpose

The HVAC Quality Inspector is responsible for the comprehensive inspection, testing, and quality assurance of various HVAC coils, including evaporator, condenser, and custom coils. This position ensures that all products fully comply with technical specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements by monitoring production processes, identifying defects, and ensuring only high-quality coils are delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect HVAC coils (copper, aluminum, fin & tube) at various production stages, including brazing, expansion, fin press, assembly, and leak testing.
• Verify coil dimensions, tube geometry, fin spacing, U-bend quality, header connections, brazing quality, and overall build accuracy.
• Conduct pressure testing and leak testing (nitrogen test) to ensure coils meet required pressure ratings.
• Check coil cleanliness, coating thickness (if applicable), and proper labeling/tagging before dispatch.
• Monitor all manufacturing steps to ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Oversee parameters such as brazing temperature, fin density, tube insertion quality, and hydraulic expansion.
• Report any deviations observed in raw materials, including tubes, fins, headers, or chemicals.
• Maintain detailed inspection sheets, calibration records, test reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
• Prepare daily Quality Control (QC) reports and share them with production teams and the Quality Manager.
• Ensure complete traceability of all materials and components utilized in coil manufacturing.
• Verify compliance with ARI/ASHRAE standards for coil performance and durability, as well as internal quality guidelines and customer-specific quality requirements.
• Participate in internal and external audits and provide support in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to address identified defects and continuously improve coil quality.
• Recommend process improvements aimed at reducing defects and enhancing production efficiency.
• Ensure all coils are properly packed and protected in accordance with established quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a closely related technical field.
• 3-4 years of proven experience in HVAC coil manufacturing, heat exchanger production, or a similar industrial setting.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of brazing inspection techniques.
• Proficiency in fin press operations.
• Expertise in tube expansion processes.
• Solid understanding of various leak testing methodologies.

This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Province, within Matar Al-Baqami Holding's manufacturing operations. The role requires close collaboration with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams in a dynamic industrial setting.
