About the Role

Matar Al-Baqami Holding is seeking an experienced and highly competent Quality Manager - Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers to lead and strengthen the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Province, and focuses on manufacturing operations for pressure vessels and heat exchangers.

Role Overview and Scope

The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality framework within a large-scale industrial environment, ensuring compliance with international standards and client-specific requirements. The role demands extensive experience with ASME-coded equipment manufacturing and strong exposure to TEMA standards, preferably aligned with Aramco requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the organization’s Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) framework.
• Oversee inspection and testing activities for ASME and TEMA-related pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001, ASME codes, TEMA standards, and applicable regulatory and client requirements, including Aramco standards.
• Supervise welding inspections, NDT activities, hydrotesting, dimensional inspection, coating inspection, and documentation control.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Establish and maintain robust documentation, traceability systems, and audit readiness across the facility.
• Lead internal and external audits, including customer and third-party inspections.
• Interface effectively with Production, Engineering, Projects, Supply Chain, and HSE departments to embed quality across all operational processes.
• Manage customer interactions, technical reviews, and compliance discussions.
• Develop and mentor quality teams, inspectors, and engineers to build a strong quality culture.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
• Overall Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in reputed, large-scale manufacturing organizations involved in Pressure Vessels (PV) and Heat Exchangers (HE).
• Managerial Experience: At least 5 years in a managerial capacity as a Quality Manager within a pressure vessel / heat exchanger manufacturing environment.
• Technical Expertise: Strong exposure to ASME codes (Section VIII, Section IX, etc.) and TEMA standards is essential.
• Quality Functions: Proven experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Inspection & Testing, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
• Industry Alignment: Experience working in Aramco-approved or similar regulated environments is highly preferred.

Certifications and Leadership Competencies

• Preferred Certifications:
  • ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or equivalent.
  • Lead Auditor Certification – ISO 9001.
  • Welding-related certifications (*, CSWIP / CWI).
  • Coating Inspection Certification (*, NACE / BGAS) will be an added advantage.

  • High level of ownership, professional maturity, and sound decision-making capability.
