About the SAS Engineer Role

Linnk Group is seeking an experienced SAS Engineer for a yearly renewable contract position in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on the testing and commissioning of Substation Automation Systems (SAS).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Substation Automation Systems (SAS).
• Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and site commissioning activities for EHV/HV/MV Substations.
• Configure, test, and validate communication protocols including IEC 61850, Modbus, and IEC 101/104.
• Utilize GE DS Agile software and GE D400/D500 applications during commissioning.
• Configure and support SCADA/HMI systems using Copadata Zenon.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to protection, control, and automation systems.
• Coordinate with project teams and clients to ensure successful project execution.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in testing and commissioning of electrical automation systems.
• Hands-on experience with IEC 61850, Modbus, and IEC 101/104 protocols.
• Experience with GE DS Agile software and GE D400/D500 applications.
• Experience or certification in Copadata Zenon.
• Experience working in EHV/HV/MV Substations.
• A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Essential Skills

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• Proficiency in commissioning activities.

Work Arrangement and Location

This is a contract position with a yearly renewable term. The role is based in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
