Senior Engineer Planning

About the Role

National Contracting Co Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineer - Planning to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position is responsible for the comprehensive planning and scheduling of all execution aspects for assigned projects. The role involves providing crucial input for pre-bid work to the Tendering and Proposals department and collecting data from various project and support departments to ensure management receives accurate information on project progress and supply schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule assigned projects in alignment with contract scope to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with the Tendering and Proposals department post-contract award to prepare project plans and schedules based on scope and cost.
• Plan and schedule the supply of materials, manpower, and machinery, including associated costs, to meet construction schedules.
• Collect actual progress data from sites, compare it against planned progress, and report variances to the Divisional Head for corrective actions.
• Prepare progress reports for clients and management, highlighting project status and necessary corrective actions.
• Compare billing against the billing schedule and support the Finance department in preparing project cash flow and fund flow statements.
• Coordinate with Project Management to verify sub-contractor billing against scope and plan, and prepare lessons-learned reports upon project closure.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling within project execution.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex project schedules and resource allocation.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle and contract requirements.
