About the Senior Service Sales Engineer Role

Carrier is seeking an established sales professional to join our team as a Senior Service Sales Engineer in Dammam, Eastern Saudi Arabia. This permanent position focuses on supporting service and aftermarket business, including service agreements and repairs, by managing customer relationships and enhancing sales performance.

Role Purpose and Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to drive sales channel development and expansion within service agreements and service repair businesses. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets through effective business development and relationship-building strategies. Key duties include preparing quotations and proposals, following up on service sales inquiries, leading negotiations to achieve optimum profit levels, and ensuring timely order booking to meet sales metrics and annual targets. You will also manage existing customers and develop new ones by understanding their business needs, identifying opportunities, and fostering strong relationships to grow service revenue. This involves providing professional proposals, offerings, and technical support, particularly for digitalized services, and ensuring proper acquisition of sales opportunities to meet financial targets. Additionally, you will be responsible for payment collection and preparing monthly sales forecasts for management review, executing customer visit schedules, and interacting with customers to increase sales, market share, and product awareness.

Key Duties and Tasks

  • Prepare quotations or proposals and follow up on service sales inquiries (*, service repair, maintenance contract proposals).
  • Lead negotiations at optimum profit levels.
  • Achieve order booking in a timely manner, meeting consistently sales metrics and annual targets.
  • Manage existing customers and develop new customers, understanding their business status, looking for business opportunities, and fostering good customer relationships for service revenue growth.
  • Connect service sales by providing professional proposals, offerings, and technical support related to digitalized services.
  • Responsible for payment collection.
  • Ensure proper acquisition of sales opportunities and meeting financial targets.
  • Prepare the monthly sales forecast according to Service Requirements and present it to management.
  • Execute customer visit schedules.
  • Interact with customers to increase sales, market share, and product awareness, and to educate customers.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree, with Mechanical Engineering being preferable, or an MBA. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience within the HVAC industry is required. Specific experience in selling service contracts and service sales is essential. Proficiency in both English and Arabic is necessary for this role.
