About the Role

Intelie, an operational-AI software company, is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Frac´ing and Completions for a contract position in Dammam, Eastern Province. This role requires strong data science and digital capabilities to integrate operational expertise with advanced analytics, focusing on transforming real-world oil & gas workflows into scalable solutions using the Intelie LIVE® platform.

Role Context and Responsibilities

This position serves as a crucial link between field operations, customer engagement, and data-driven solutions. The SME will act as a trusted advisor to customers in Saudi Arabia, collaborating with global teams of data scientists, developers, and sales professionals to deliver measurable operational value. Key responsibilities include bridging operational understanding with advanced analytics to ensure that customer challenges are translated into effective, data-driven use cases and solutions.

Key Duties and Tasks

• Serve as the Frac & Completions SME across pre-sales, delivery, and post-deployment phases.
• Engage directly with customer teams to understand fracturing, completions, and production workflows.
• Translate field challenges into data-driven use cases and analytics solutions.
• Support RFPs, technical proposals, demos, and customer workshops.
• Act as the primary technical interface between customer operations and Intelie teams.
• Translate business problems into data science and machine learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with data scientists to define datasets, validate models, and ensure actionable outcomes.
• Support exploratory data analysis, interpretation of results, and insights storytelling.
• Identify opportunities for predictive analytics, optimization, and real-time monitoring improvements.
• Own solution scoping, use case definition, and value tracking.
• Ensure successful deployment and adoption of Intelie LIVE® solutions.
• Coordinate with internal data science, engineering, and support teams.
• Monitor KPIs such as operational efficiency improvements, incident reduction, and customer adoption.
• Act as an SME reference for developers and data scientists, contributing field insights to product improvements.
• Enable Sales with technical narratives and domain expertise.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas upstream operations.
• Strong expertise in Hydraulic fracturing (frac operations) and Well completions.
• Practical experience in roles such as Completion Engineer, Frac Engineer, or Production Engineer.
• Solid understanding of operational data (pressure, rate, proppant, etc.) and the application of physics and statistics to oilfield operations.
• Hands-on or working knowledge of data analysis tools (*, Python, Pandas), data visualization tools, and machine learning concepts.
• Ability to bridge domain knowledge with analytics teams is a critical differentiator.
• Experience with real-time monitoring and analytics platforms, and digital oilfield / AI / ML initiatives.
• Ability to translate operational needs into technical and analytical solutions.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Arabic speaking is desirable.
• Experience in KSA or Middle East operations, particularly the Dammam region, is preferred.
• Background in data science projects or AI initiatives, and product or solution development is beneficial.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and version control (Git) is a plus.
