Technician

About the Role

ADB Safegate is seeking a Technician to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves performing corrective and preventive maintenance and electrical activities for various airport systems at King Fahd International Airport, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute work orders as directed by Maintenance Management and System Engineers.
• Conduct regular inspections of the airfield to identify damaged or inoperable equipment and notable events.
• Perform emergency (corrective) and scheduled (preventive) replacement of broken equipment.
• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and inspect A-VDGS equipment, GPUs, and other systems, ensuring the functionality of Aipron 360 and other airport systems.
• Operate and communicate daily using VHF radio equipment.
• Participate in general custodial maintenance to ensure the acceptable appearance of A-VDGS facilities and GPUs.
• Perform maintenance tasks in the workshop during stand-by service or planned activities, including disassembly, inspection, part replacement, reassembly, and checks.
• Participate in 24/7 stand-by service to support emergency callouts.
• Maintain detailed work records, including complaint resolutions, maintenance and repair logs, vehicle inspection forms, and daily work logs.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks for vehicles, equipment, and tools, including inspections, fluid checks, replacements, greasing, and cleaning.
• Monitor equipment operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Exercise care in handling and operating vehicles, equipment, and tools, adhering to airport-specific safety policies and responsibilities.
• Actively contribute to achieving SLA contract KPIs.

Work Schedule

This position requires working in shifts (morning/afternoon/night) according to a schedule defined by the Supervisor. The role also involves participation in a 24/7 stand-by service for emergency callouts.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in maintenance and electrical activities.
• Ability to perform corrective and preventive maintenance on AVDGS, Aipron, GPUs, and other systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and inspecting complex airport equipment.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest level of competencies through training sessions.

Work Environment

The Technician will work under the authority of the System Engineer, performing duties both airside and in the workshop at King Fahd International Airport. Adherence to airport-specific safety policies and practices is essential.
