About the Welding Engineering Intern Role

TechnipFMC is seeking a Welding Engineering Intern to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time internship offers an opportunity to contribute to real change in the energy industry through innovation and collaboration. Role Purpose and Contribution

The primary purpose of this role is to support the development and implementation of manufacturing activities for projects, ensuring adherence to industry and company standards, project execution plans, and installation procedures. The intern will gain practical experience in various aspects of welding engineering within a project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with welding hours calculations and capability/capacity reviews.
• Provide technical support for welding activities.
• Support improvement projects in the weld shop as a manufacturing engineer.
• Review and interpret customer and industrial specifications.
• Offer technical recommendations to the design engineering team during design reviews.
• Participate in departmental discussions on technical issues and lessons learned.
• Demonstrate commitment to QHSE through participation in safety and quality initiatives.
• Understand the workflow for machining documentation control and the issuance of machining procedures.
• Contribute to Design for Excellence (DFX) processes.
• Assist in audit preparations related to adherence to codes and specifications.
• Support tender and product engineering quotation activities.
• Attend daily meetings such as Notification Review Board (NRB) and Obeya.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• A strong desire to learn new things.
• Cooperative attitude and a positive outlook.
