Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager at Eleven Wishes Salon plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the salon. This role involves managing staff, overseeing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, handling receptionist duties, and ensuring a high standard of client service. The Assistant Manager is responsible for upholding salon policies, managing client expectations, and supporting the day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receptionist Duties:

• Greet clients warmly and escort them to their seats.
• Discuss service requirements with the assigned technician and ensure the client’s needs are met.
• Manage booking schedules and respond to WhatsApp messages within 5 minutes during working hours.
• Handle client inquiries .
• Verify additional services requested by clients and ensure they can be completed within the allocated appointment time. If not, inform the client to book the extra service in advance for future visits.

1. Staff Supervision:

• Monitor and manage the daily performance of salon staff, ensuring punctuality, professionalism, and adherence to salon policies.
• Manage staff schedules and ensure proper coverage during working hours.
• Address and resolve any staff-related issues or conflicts promptly.
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance and maintain motivation.

1. Inventory Management:

• Ensure that all products and supplies are adequately stocked and organized.
• Place orders for new inventory when necessary and track product usage.
• Organize the storage areas and maintain an efficient inventory management system.

1. Salon Cleanliness:

• Ensure that the salon remains clean and organized throughout the day, including individual stations and shared areas.
• Oversee the cleanliness of tools and equipment according to salon standards.
• Ensure that all doors (kitchen, storage, bathroom) are kept closed to maintain a professional environment.

1. Client Service Excellence:

• Ensure all clients receive exceptional service, making them feel comfortable and valued.
• Address any client complaints or concerns swiftly and professionally to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.
• Verify services with technicians to ensure proper service delivery, including handling extra service requests efficiently.

1. Enforcing Policies:

• Ensure that all staff follow salon policies, including uniform regulations, punctuality, hygiene standards, and equipment sterilization protocols.
• Enforce the no-chewing-gum policy and ensure all client interaction areas are professional and inviting.

1. Reporting and Administrative Tasks:

• Report directly to the salon manager and owner regarding staff performance, inventory levels, and client feedback.
• Assist in training new employees and ensuring they adhere to salon policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in a salon, retail, or customer service management role preferred.
• Skills:
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
• Proficient in using WhatsApp and basic appointment management tools.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and client service.

Physical Requirements:

• Comfortable handling light cleaning duties and assisting clients with personal belongings such as abayas.
