Introduction to the AI Consultant Role

Devoteam is seeking an experienced AI Consultant to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is for a highly experienced professional with deep and broad knowledge across artificial intelligence, providing advanced guidance and problem-solving on complex AI initiatives.

Role Overview within Data & Intelligence

As an AI Consultant within the Data & Intelligence Business Unit, you will serve as a key expert, connecting various AI domains and ensuring programs remain state-of-the-art while aligning with overarching business goals. This position operates at a Mid to Senior Level, requiring a strategic and hands-on approach to AI challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical advisory on complex AI problems, evaluate modeling approaches and architectures, and troubleshoot issues such as training instability, non-convergence, or data leakage. Review project plans and model designs for soundness.
• Drive thought leadership and strategy by identifying high-value opportunities for AI, assessing emerging technologies, and recommending strategic directions for investment in new capabilities or data assets.
• Facilitate cross-department collaboration to prevent duplicated efforts, share effective approaches, and effectively communicate AI capabilities and limitations to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
• Engage in R&D and innovation by staying current with research, prototyping novel ideas, and participating in external communities through conferences, publications, or open-source contributions to maintain cutting-edge practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in AI/ML is typically required. Candidates with fewer years of experience may be considered if their background includes significant, high-impact contributions across multiple projects.
• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing impact through patents, publications, open-source contributions, or high-profile project outcomes.
• Evidence of external recognition, such as speaking engagements, participation in standards or consortiums, or similar indicators of recognized expertise within the AI field.
• Proven experience in teaching and mentoring, including coaching teams and institutionalizing best practices in AI/ML.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, operating within Devoteam's Data & Intelligence Business Unit. The role is classified as Mid - Senior Level, suitable for professionals ready to take on significant responsibilities in advanced AI initiatives.
