About the Role

A growing events company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, specializing in delivering high-quality events and experiences, is seeking a dedicated Accountant. This full-time position is crucial for supporting the company's continued growth by ensuring robust financial operations and reporting within the Finance team.

Role Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. This role involves active participation in month-end and year-end closing processes, as well as providing essential support to the Finance Manager in key financial planning and analysis functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor event and project budgets, track costs, and analyze variances.
• Process supplier invoices, customer invoices, and payment collections.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Support the Finance Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Experience in the Events, Advertising, or Project-based industry is an advantage.
• Previous experience in an accounting firm or external audit is highly preferred.
