About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Barista to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is open to Saudi nationals and involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The role requires 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare drink orders for guests following specified recipes and using precise measuring systems.
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, according to standard recipes.
Operate, calibrate, and clean commercial espresso machines, grinders, and coffee brewing equipment.
Demonstrate knowledge of coffee beans, roasts, and brewing techniques to assist guests with recommendations.
Issue, open, and serve bottled beverages.
Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks and stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
Transport supplies to the bar setup area and wash soiled glassware.
Remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables and place them in the designated area.
Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs for supplies.
Process all payment methods and complete cashier reports at the end of the shift, resolving any discrepancies.
Secure coolers, cabinets, and storage areas, and complete all closing duties.

Operational Standards and Guest Service

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Capacity to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
Ability to navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as stairs and service ramps.
Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
