Role Overview

Solenis is seeking a Business Development Manager- Dairy, MENA to join the team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and involves close cooperation with business management, commercial, technical, financial & administration, and equipment teams, as well as account managers and service technicians. The incumbent will leverage their industry knowledge to provide day-to-day leadership for commercial and technical functions within Africa, ensuring business and customer needs are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage existing accounts to ensure satisfaction, ongoing profitability, and organic growth through professional account management processes.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities across various segments of the Food & Beverage industry, including exploration, production, and development, with a focus on Dairy & Agri.
• Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry stakeholders, including Dairy & Agri companies, service providers, and government agencies.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges within the Dairy & Agri landscape.
• Prepare compelling proposals and presentations to showcase company capabilities and solutions, addressing specific needs of Dairy & Agri players.
• Negotiate and close contracts with new clients for the provision of Dairy & Agri services or solutions.
• Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing, ensuring effective communication and coordination with internal teams.
• Support the execution of Dairy & Agri projects by collaborating with internal teams (engineering, operations) and external stakeholders.
• Provide professional on-site service work to customers, including water analysis and testing as required, ensuring water treatment programs are controlled according to design parameters.
• Work with support groups to establish, maintain, and prioritize an accurate and current prospect list.

The role requires adherence to all EHS and Responsible Care policies, including:

• Following all EHS and environmental policies and procedures.
• Reporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses to the supervisor.
• Promoting Responsible Care principles.
• Participating in required training and consultation on EH&S matters.
• Maintaining hygiene at all times.

Communication and Reporting

Effective communication is essential for this role, involving one-on-one inter-relationship and cooperation with all field staff. The position requires minimum monthly reports and weekly teleconferences (Sales Meetings) with business managers, along with other reports and documentation as required.

Travel Requirements

Travel is required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in conferences as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
