About the Chief Accountant Role

Kudu Company for Food and Catering is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the company's comprehensive accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining adherence to IFRS and local regulations, and strengthening internal controls to provide reliable financial information to management.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily accounting operations and the accounting team.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
• Maintain the General Ledger, Trial Balance, and perform account reconciliations.
• Oversee banking transactions, loan accounting, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, ZATCA regulations, VAT, WHT, Zakat, and corporate tax requirements.
• Review financial transactions, accounting entries, and internal controls for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and support all audit requirements.
• Manage ERP accounting controls, chart of accounts, and ensure financial system integrity.
• Collaborate with reporting, budgeting, HR, and other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to management.

Candidate Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior accounting role. A strong understanding of IFRS, ZATCA regulations, VAT, WHT, Zakat, and corporate tax requirements is essential. Experience with ERP accounting systems and internal control frameworks is also required.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with prior experience in the following industries are preferred:

• Manufacturing
• FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)
• Food Production
• Multi-Entity Organizations

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic food and catering environment.
