About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in NATM (New Austrian Tunneling Method) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on contributing to significant infrastructure projects within the region. Role Summary

The Civil Engineer NATM will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction activities on assigned projects. This position involves ensuring adherence to contract documents, maintaining safety standards, and facilitating effective coordination among project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise and attend coordination meetings with clients, contractors, consultants, construction managers, and other key personnel at construction sites to resolve technical and related issues.
• Review all aspects of site preparation and temporary works construction for conformance with contract documents.
• Enforce relevant safety rules at site and monitor all work aspects for compliance with security, health, and safety requirements.
• Monitor work progress for verification of progress payments and schedule adherence.
• Conduct daily briefings with site team leaders to follow up and report on work progress, anticipating potential delays to planned tasks.
• Implement immediate corrective actions to avoid cumulative effects of deviations and recover delays to ensure timely task completion.
• Assist the Project Manager in the supervision and management of construction activities for assigned projects.
• Assist in the planning and sequencing of construction operations according to the Project Quality Plan.
• Conduct regular inspections and assess the work performance of all subcontractors.
• Evaluate and resolve discrepancies and problems arising during construction that affect the quality of works performed.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a specific focus or expertise in the New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM). A strong understanding of construction processes and site management is essential.

Site Operations and Coordination

This role operates within a dynamic construction environment, requiring close collaboration with various project stakeholders including clients, contractors, and internal teams. The position involves regular presence on construction sites in Riyadh to ensure direct oversight and effective problem-solving.
