About the Civil Inspector Role

HanmiGlobal MENA is seeking a dedicated Civil Inspector to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supporting the planning, implementation, and inspection phases of civil engineering projects. The role requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and practical experience in construction site inspection, materials testing, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Assist in reviewing construction drawings, blueprints, and project documentation.
• Monitor contractor performance and verify work progress.
• Document daily activities, prepare inspection reports, and communicate findings to senior engineers.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards and approved procedures.
• Report and follow up on any non-conformities or issues identified during inspections.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support testing and commissioning activities as required.
• Maintain up-to-date records and logs related to project inspections and compliance.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of civil engineering and construction practices.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is considered a plus.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involving regular on-site presence at various civil engineering project locations.
