About the Role

Egis is seeking a Civil/Earthworks Inspector to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position involves ensuring the quality, compliance, and integrity of civil engineering and earthworks projects. The role requires fostering collaborative relationships with contractors, engineers, and project managers to uphold high standards of construction excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic inspections of earthworks, site preparation, and civil engineering projects to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and Saudi Arabian regulations.
• Perform quality control checks on materials, workmanship, and construction methods, documenting findings accurately.
• Monitor construction progress, identifying and documenting deviations from approved plans or potential issues.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address construction concerns and resolve issues.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports including observations, test results, recommendations, and photographic evidence.
• Verify adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical input on construction matters.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Ensure strict adherence to local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices in Saudi Arabia.
• Maintain organized records and documentation systems for all inspections and communications.
• Identify potential defects or non-conformances and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience in civil engineering or construction inspection, with a significant focus on earthworks and site preparation.
• Proficient knowledge of civil engineering principles, earthworks techniques, and construction methodologies.
• Strong understanding of quality control and assurance procedures in construction.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Comprehensive familiarity with Saudi Arabian building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards in construction.
