The Opportunity: Deputy Store Manager, Crate&Barrel

Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a full-time Deputy Store Manager for Crate&Barrel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of daily store operations, with a focus on achieving sales targets, managing and developing store teams, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Deputy Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in maximizing store profitability, maintaining brand and company image, ensuring operational compliance, and delivering high standards of customer service. In the absence of the Store Manager, this role assumes full responsibility for managing store operations and the workforce, aligning with the overall business objectives of Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the team in delivering excellent customer service standards and facilitate exceptional customer experiences by understanding company and brand CX standards, individual customer needs, and current market trends and competitors.
• Drive the store team to consistently provide the highest levels of customer service.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with internal support teams, including Marketing, Buying, and Planning, providing regular and relevant feedback.
• Drive sales and proactively implement initiatives to increase sales and improve business performance, with a clear focus on Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.
• Manage and execute all sales promotions and brand activities, ensuring effective communication to relevant support teams to maximize sales.
• Maximize sales opportunities through clear and consistent communication with the Buying and Planning departments.

Operational Leadership and Compliance

• Manage and develop the store teams to optimize profitability and uphold the brand and company image.
• Ensure smooth store operations and address any potential business disruptions in a timely manner, particularly during the Store Manager's absence.
• Implement, manage, and maintain compliance with Company policies and guidelines to minimize stock loss and damage.
• Oversee the store's workforce and operations during the Store Manager's absence, in alignment with overall business objectives.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a retail management or supervisory role. This includes demonstrated capabilities in driving sales, leading and developing teams, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance within a retail environment.
