About the Role

SEVEN (Saudi Entertainment Ventures) is seeking a Director Portfolio Controls & Change Management for a full-time position in Riyadh. This senior leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all Commercial Controls, Change Management, Reporting & Consolidation, Cost Systems, Governance, Procedures, and function-specific Document Control activities across the SEVEN portfolio. The Director leads a team focused on portfolio reporting, project controls governance, cost management systems, baseline and non-baseline change management, commercial assurance, process development, and document control. This position ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and transparent performance information to support informed decision-making at project, programme, portfolio, and executive levels.

Strategic Leadership and Governance

The Director will provide strategic direction and ensure robust governance across the portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

• Promoting a "One Team" culture and seamless integration across the business.
• Leading Commercial Controls, Reporting, Change Management, and function-specific Document Control functions.
• Supporting the Executive Director in defining and implementing the function's strategic direction, roadmap, and annual objectives.
• Establishing and monitoring functional KPIs and performance measures.
• Promoting a "no-surprise" culture through proactive reporting and issue escalation.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on governance, reporting, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Establishing and maintaining portfolio-wide controls frameworks, governance processes, and assurance mechanisms.
• Ensuring compliance with approved policies, procedures, governance requirements, and delegated authorities.
• Acting as custodian of commercial controls standards across the portfolio.

Portfolio Reporting and Cost Management Systems

This role is central to managing and reporting on portfolio performance and cost data. Responsibilities include:

• Leading all portfolio reporting activities and establishing a consistent reporting framework.
• Directing the preparation and submission of Monthly Status Reports, Executive Reports, Dashboards, and Portfolio Performance Reports.
• Consolidating project cost, commercial, and performance data into portfolio-level reporting outputs.
• Leading the analysis of portfolio performance trends, forecasts, variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Acting as business owner for Aconex Connected Cost and associated project controls systems.
• Leading the implementation, enhancement, configuration, and optimisation of cost management systems.
• Establishing and maintaining portfolio coding structures, including CBS, WBS, and reporting hierarchies.
• Ensuring portfolio data integrity, consistency, and quality across all systems.

Change Management and Procedural Development

The Director will oversee all change management processes and ensure robust procedural frameworks. Key duties include:

• Leading portfolio-wide baseline and non-baseline change management activities.
• Acting as custodian of Change Management procedures and governance frameworks.
• Chairing or facilitating Change Committee activities as required.
• Ensuring Project Change Requests are assessed, reviewed, and approved in accordance with procedures and Delegation of Authority.
• Maintaining portfolio change registers and reporting metrics.
• Leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of Commercial Controls, Reporting, Change Management, and Governance procedures.
• Establishing and maintaining management system documentation and process maps.
• Developing and maintaining training materials, guidance documents, and user manuals.

Information Management and Stakeholder Engagement

This role involves managing critical information and fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

• Leading the function-specific Document Control function across the portfolio.
• Establishing and maintaining document management standards, protocols, and governance requirements.
• Overseeing document workflows, transmittals, reviews, approvals, and archival processes.
• Developing strong relationships within Projects (Delivery & Development), Finance, Procurement, and Executive Leadership teams.
• Managing relationships with PMCs, CMCs, Contractors, and Consultants.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for portfolio reporting, governance, and controls matters.
• Ensuring transparent and efficient communication with all stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Operational Oversight

The Director will lead multiple teams and ensure effective operational performance and compliance. Duties include:

• Leading multiple teams including Reporting & Consolidation, Change Management, Cost Systems, and Document Control.
• Defining goals and performance measures for all direct reports.
• Developing talent through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Conducting performance reviews and ensuring effective implementation of SEVEN's performance management framework.
• Creating a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
• Analysing complex portfolio issues and developing practical solutions.
• Providing independent challenge and assurance to project teams.
• Promoting strong health, safety, and environmental practices and ensuring compliance with HSEQ policies.
