Albawani (البواني) is seeking a Financial Reporting Officer to join its finance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for professionals with 2-5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a related finance field, who are committed to accuracy and compliance in financial operations.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Financial Reporting Officer is responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. This role supports critical financial analysis, reporting activities, audit requirements, and the preparation of financial statements, all of which are essential for informed decision-making and maintaining the integrity of the company's financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Ensure financial reports are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Perform account reconciliations and validate financial data.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and applicable regulations.
• Support the implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain documentation supporting financial reporting activities.
• Monitor updates to accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Analyze financial data and identify significant variances.
• Assist in preparing management reports and financial performance summaries.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities when required.
• Provide reporting insights to support business decisions.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Support the implementation of internal controls and compliance requirements.
• Assist in resolving audit observations and recommendations.
• Maintain financial reporting databases and records.
• Improve reporting templates and reporting efficiency.
• Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other finance-related reporting duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Financial Reporting, Accounting, or Finance.
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience dealing with external auditors is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial controls and compliance requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA are preferred.
