About Exequt MENA and the Fortinet Engineer Role

Exequt MENA is a rapidly expanding consulting and technology services firm specializing in cybersecurity, Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud solutions, AI-driven platforms, and custom software engineering. The company partners with public and private sector organizations to deliver high-impact digital transformation initiatives across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Exequt MENA is seeking a Fortinet Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on designing, implementing, and supporting Fortinet security solutions.

Role Purpose

The Fortinet Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of Fortinet security solutions, primarily focusing on FortiGate firewalls, within enterprise environments. This role involves close collaboration with customers, Security Operations Center (SOC) teams, network teams, and broader cybersecurity teams to ensure robust and effective security postures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support Fortinet security solutions, with a primary focus on FortiGate firewalls.
• Deploy and manage FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb, FortiMail, FortiAuthenticator, FortiClient, and FortiSandbox as required.
• Configure firewalls, VPN, routing, NAT, IPS, application control, web filtering, antivirus, and SSL inspection.
• Design and implement High Availability (HA), Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN), and secure network architectures.
• Integrate Fortinet solutions with existing network, security, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and SOC environments.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security incidents, providing root-cause analysis.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, health checks, performance optimization, and configuration backups.
• Develop technical documentation, including High-Level Design (HLD)/Low-Level Design (LLD), configuration guides, and operational procedures.
• Support Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives, demonstrations, deployments, and technical workshops.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 3–7+ years of experience in network and security engineering, with strong hands-on Fortinet experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate and the Fortinet Security Fabric.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and network security principles.
• Experience with IPsec/SSL VPN, BGP/OSPF, SD-WAN, High Availability (HA), and firewall policies.
• Knowledge of Fortinet centralized management and logging solutions.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and enterprise security architecture.
• Possession of Fortinet NSE/FCF/FCA/FCP/FCSS certifications.

Compensation Structure

This full-time position offers a performance-based compensation structure.
