The Role of HSE Manager

Assystem Radicon is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires over 10 years of relevant experience. The HSE Manager will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across various project workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee project HSE plans, procedures, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and compliance monitoring across applicable workstreams.
• Review contractor and consultant HSE submissions, and monitor HSE performance, audits, and closeout actions.
• Lead HSE risk reviews, incident reporting, lessons learned, and emergency preparedness coordination.
• Advise Project Management leadership on HSE risks, legal requirements, and necessary corrective actions.
• Promote a proactive HSE culture and enforce stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified.

Quality and HSE Accountabilities

• Request necessary resources for the continuity and efficiency of the quality management system and enhance commitment within the unit.
• Ensure all unit activities comply with laws, applicable national/international standards, and ethical rules.
• Conduct project activities in accordance with the Quality Management System and ensure effective adherence to rules.
• Work in accordance with the Quality Management System and contribute to its development and continuous improvement.
• Implement Assystem safety programs within the team and consistently adhere to Assystem HSE policies, procedures, and applicable legal requirements.
• Maintain organized work areas free of hazards; promptly report deviations, faults, hazards, and HSE incidents to the HSE Representative or line manager.
• Participate in operational controls to eliminate or mitigate newly identified risks and support incident investigations as required.
• Ensure personal actions do not compromise individual safety or the safety of others; cooperate on health and safety matters and stop work if conditions are unsafe.

Experience and Work Type
