About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Head of Contracts Management to join its Transportation Project Delivery team in Riyadh. This full-time leadership position involves developing and leading the contractual and commercial delivery for a multi-disciplinary Transportation project. The role focuses on the PMCM Services for a significant Metro Station in Riyadh, collaborating across all project lifecycle stages with the Engineering and Construction supervision team, and coordinating closely with the D&B Contractor from early stages through project handover.

Role Overview

As the PMCM representative for the Project's Design and Engineering, the Head of Contracts Management is accountable for all commercial and contractual aspects. This includes ensuring effective contract administration, financial performance, risk mitigation, and the protection of the Client and Consultants organizations' commercial interests. The role encompasses developing commercial strategies, managing claims and disputes, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations to maximize value for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all commercial and contractual functions across the project lifecycle.
• Provide strategic commercial and contractual advice to the Project Director, Client, and project leadership teams.
• Lead the administration and interpretation of project contracts.
• Develop and implement project commercial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions, client obligations, and statutory requirements.
• Review and negotiate major contract amendments, variations, and commercial agreements.
• Ensure achievement of project financial objectives, profitability targets, and cash-flow requirements.
• Establish commercial governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Direct project cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
• Identify, assess, and manage contractual and commercial risks, developing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure effective change management and variation control processes.
• Oversee contract correspondence and contractual communications with all stakeholders.
• Develop and execute claims management strategies, leading the preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of claims.
• Manage dispute avoidance and resolution processes, coordinating with legal advisors as required.
• Lead and mentor commercial and contract management teams, establishing performance objectives and development plans.

Required Experience

Candidates for this senior leadership role should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in contracts management. This experience should ideally be within large-scale transportation or infrastructure projects, demonstrating a proven track record in commercial strategy, contract administration, claims management, cost control, and risk management.
