About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a dedicated Host/Hostess to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, involving responsibilities such as greeting and seating, maintaining dining area standards, and providing essential guest assistance. The role requires a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to established company standards.

Guest Services and Dining Area Management

• Greet guests upon arrival and accurately determine the size of their party.
• Seat guests promptly at clean, available tables, assisting with chairs and presenting current menus.
• Guide guests through dining areas and offer any necessary assistance.
• Monitor dining rooms to ensure seating availability, optimal service flow, and guest safety and well-being.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings as required, including organizing seating for groups with special needs.
• Ensure all place settings are appropriate, with each guest having a napkin, clean silverware, and other standard items.
• Verify that menus are current, clean, plentiful, and free of wrinkles.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.

Operational Standards and Team Collaboration

• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, adhering to clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Safety and Security Compliance

• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are consistently clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Experience: No related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required for this role.
• License or Certification: None specified.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
