Role Overview

Marriott International is seeking a Host/Hostess for The Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh. Contributing to Guest Experience

The Host/Hostess plays a vital role in the dining experience, from the moment guests arrive. This position is responsible for setting the tone for guest visits, ensuring a seamless and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and determine the number in their party.
• Seat guests promptly at clean, available tables, ensuring proper setup with chairs pulled out and current menus presented.
• Guide guests through dining areas and provide any necessary assistance.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, including organizing seating for groups with special needs.
• Verify that place settings are appropriate, with each guest having a napkin, clean silverware, and all standard items.
• Inspect menus for currency, cleanliness, availability, and wrinkle-free presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing "clean-as-you-go" procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, and the safety and well-being of guests.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Communicate professionally with others and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and service standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• No prior related work experience is necessary for this role.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific license or certification is mandated.

Workplace Standards and Physical Demands

The role requires strict adherence to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, and completing all required safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance is essential, alongside upholding the confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
