About the Role

National Medical Care is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for ensuring the cleanliness of the entire Riyadh Care and Housing premises, upholding approved policies and procedures established based on international standards. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high environmental quality within a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure, through direct or indirect actions, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion, and understanding is provided to every patient served at NMC Hospitals and Clinics.
• Maintain cleaning and decontamination processes in strict adherence to approved procedures.
• Conduct continuous checks of all areas of responsibility to ensure no cleaning tasks are missed.
• Provide in-service training to all newly hired housekeeping staff on proper cleaning procedures and techniques.
• Assist in developing monthly schedules and arranging shifting procedures to ensure continuous coverage of all areas.
• Support ongoing education for all housekeeping staff through monthly in-service sessions, updating them on changes in technology and the latest advanced cleaning procedures based on international standards.
• Assist in implementing established cleaning schedules for non-routine housekeeping tasks, including scrubbing, stripping, polishing, wall washing, window pavement cleaning, and carpet shampooing.
• Educate housekeeping staff on necessary precautions while performing their duties.
• Coordinate with the housekeeping storekeeper to ensure a continuous supply of housekeeping chemicals and cleaning materials.
• Inspect all housekeeping electrical equipment and coordinate with the maintenance department for any defective units to ensure the safety of housekeepers.
• Recommend disciplinary actions, such as reprimands and warning letters, for non-compliant housekeeping staff to the Manager of General Services.
• Conduct periodic quality improvement checks across all areas.
• Report any incidents incurred during the shift to the Manager of General Services.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties as assigned by superiors, within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Reporting Structure

The Housekeeping Supervisor reports directly to the Manager of General Services. This role involves supervising Housekeeping Assistant Supervisors (Group Leaders) and Housekeepers, guiding their daily activities and performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess:

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in housekeeping supervision, preferably within a healthcare or similar institutional environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of international housekeeping standards and approved cleaning and decontamination procedures.
• Proven experience in staff training and development.
