The Role of Junior Site Engineer

ALEC Holdings is seeking a Junior Site Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is specifically for Nationals Fresh Graduates who are ready to contribute to the execution of construction activities. The primary objective of this role is to manage project construction from initiation to closeout, ensuring strict adherence to the project schedule, specifications, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan project execution and prepare detailed look-ahead schedules in coordination with the Section Manager.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and the Project team for the preparation and submission of method statements for various construction activities.
• Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and the Project team for the preparation and submission of work notifications as per schedule requirements.
• Conduct site surveillance, communicate with subcontractors regarding work progress, and verify resource adequacy for schedule achievement.
• Implement corrective actions for any variations from the plan and verify their effectiveness.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team to conduct internal material inspections, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Perform work inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, and raise work inspection requests to the QA/QC department.
• Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors to complete consultant's inspection comments, corrective actions for Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and deficiencies recorded by the QA/QC team within agreed timelines.
• Provide accurate daily project progress status updates to the Section Manager.
• Ensure the implementation of the Project HSE program and safe work practices on site.
• Conduct red line drawings review for accuracy and incorporation of all information.
• Perform internal snagging and liaise with subcontractors to close all snags identified by the Project team and consultants.
• Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors, the Project team, and consultants for the testing and commissioning activities of the project.

Qualifications

Candidates for this Junior Site Engineer position are expected to be fresh graduates who are nationals, holding one of the following academic qualifications:

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering
• *** in Civil Construction
