Abyatona Contracting & Development is a prominent contracting company actively involved in major construction projects across Saudi Arabia. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to supporting the design and coordination efforts for our diverse project portfolio.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the successful execution of construction projects by focusing on the design and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. This role requires a professional capable of managing design processes, ensuring technical accuracy, and facilitating seamless integration across various project disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs for various projects.
• Develop detailed calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and material submittals.
• Coordinate MEP systems effectively with architectural and structural engineering disciplines.
• Review shop drawings and provide resolutions for technical and site-specific issues that arise during construction.
• Ensure all design work and project implementations comply with specific project requirements, Saudi codes, and relevant international standards.
• Collaborate and coordinate with external consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal site teams.
• Support value engineering initiatives, assist in obtaining necessary authority approvals, and contribute to the preparation of as-built documentation.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience as an MEP Design Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer within the construction industry. This experience should demonstrate a proven capability in supporting major construction projects and effectively managing complex design challenges.
