The Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

IC İçtaş İnşaat is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team for a significant road project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and coordination of mechanical systems for large-scale road and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering designs, calculations, technical specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and construction drawings.
• Design and coordinate potable water, irrigation, stormwater drainage, sewerage, firefighting, and pumping station systems.
• Ensure mechanical designs comply with project requirements, international codes, Saudi regulations, and client specifications.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and system sizing for pipelines, pumping systems, storage tanks, and associated infrastructure facilities.
• Coordinate utility interfaces with civil, structural, electrical, and road design disciplines.
• Review and approve technical submissions, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals from consultants and contractors.
• Support value engineering studies to optimize project costs, constructability, and operational efficiency.
• Provide engineering support during construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, authorities, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination and clash detection activities are completed in line with project requirements.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically within the context of large-scale road and infrastructure projects. The role demands a professional capable of managing complex mechanical systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

This full-time role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on a critical road infrastructure project. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic project team, collaborating with various engineering disciplines and external stakeholders.
