The Mechanical Inspector Role
KEO Group is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical installations across various projects. The role involves diligent inspection, reporting, and coordination to uphold project standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by contractors and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
- Inspect the installation of electrical components such as conduits, wiring, and outlets within precast elements.
- Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practices.
- Report any works carried out by the contractor that are not in accordance with approved drawings and specifications, and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
- Monitor the quality of works and assess site safety, including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual / QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
- Maintain records for daily site activities, including progress photos, ensuring they are readily available for inspection.
- Prepare surveillance report(s) for work deficiencies found at the site and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) if required.
- Check and ensure effective coordination between discipline-related works and all other disciplines.
- Provide technical input and experience to resolve any discipline-related issues that may arise on site.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, candidates are expected to bring a minimum of 10 years' career experience. A Diploma or Bachelor Degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline is required.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge in MEP techniques, procedures, and all relevant international codes and standards.
- Proven experience and capability in all aspects of the mechanical engineering discipline.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working within a dynamic project delivery environment.
