The Role of Neonatology Consultant

The Neonatology Consultant will provide specialized, evidence-based care to newborns, including premature and critically ill neonates. This full-time position involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes within our Riyadh facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultant-level care to newborns, including premature, high-risk, and critically ill neonates.
• Manage neonatal emergencies and complex medical conditions in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Perform clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
• Provide consultation and support to pediatricians, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in NICU rounds, clinical meetings, and multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Ensure appropriate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes.
• Support the implementation of evidence-based clinical practices and patient safety standards.
• Participate in teaching, training, and mentoring of residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audits, and other hospital initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.
