Role Overview: Order Taker Room Service

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a dedicated Order Taker Room Service to join our full-time team in Riyadh. This role is central to ensuring exceptional guest experiences by accurately processing room service orders and addressing inquiries. We are looking for candidates with 0-1 years of experience who are committed to upholding our high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Take room service orders accurately over the phone and answer questions regarding menu selections.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and correct order preparation, communicating any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests.
• Address guest inquiries concerning the origin, vintage, and style of various wines.
• Place and log call backs for room service orders, notifying guests and management of any service delivery delays.
• Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order and complete all closing reports, including MICROS reports.
• Process all payment methods and maintain the cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and guests, fostering positive working relationships and supporting team goals.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Physical Requirements of the Role

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Candidate Profile and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a related hospitality or customer service role.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, including appropriate telephone etiquette.
• Proficiency in recording transactions, ideally with experience using systems like MICROS.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and professional appearance and work area.
• Ability to complete safety training and certifications as required.
• A proactive approach to guest service, anticipating needs and resolving concerns effectively.
