About the Role

Emdad By Elm is seeking a PSS Developer to join its technology team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is suitable for professionals with 2-5 years of experience in software development, focusing on Java-based applications and portal solutions.

Role Purpose

The PSS Developer will contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Java Portlets and Spring Boot applications. This role is central to ensuring the performance, security, and seamless integration of these components within the broader portal architecture and backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the building and maintenance of Java Portlets and Spring Boot applications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to address and resolve development tasks.
• Develop and deploy portlets that comply with JSR specifications and established portal standards.
• Ensure portlet performance, security, and effective integration with the overall portal theme and layout.
• Integrate portlets with IBM DataPower-secured APIs, IBM Db2, Couchbase, and other relevant data sources.
• Work alongside Integration teams to configure and troubleshoot DataPower policies and service mediation.
• Design and implement DataPower policies to secure and mediate traffic between portlets and backend services.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly documented code.
• Actively participate in team meetings, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Stay informed on current best practices in Java/Spring and backend development.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 2-5 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on Java and Spring Boot.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying Java Portlets, adhering to JSR specifications.
• Proficiency in integrating applications with various data sources, including IBM Db2 and Couchbase.
• Experience with IBM DataPower for API security, policy design, and traffic mediation.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
