About the Role

Abdullah Ibrahim Al Sayegh and Sons is seeking a Procurement Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical) to join its team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh or Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of mechanical and electrical materials and equipment essential for various infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient operations from sourcing to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Engineer will undertake a range of tasks critical to project success, including:

  • Reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
  • Preparing Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for required materials and equipment.
  • Evaluating both technical and commercial proposals from suppliers.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
  • Issuing purchase orders in accordance with company policies and project needs.
  • Coordinating closely with project and engineering teams to align procurement activities with project timelines.
  • Following up on material deliveries to ensure all project requirements are met efficiently and on schedule.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a background in mechanical or electrical engineering and demonstrate foundational experience in procurement. Specific requirements include:

  • 0-1 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably within the infrastructure or construction sector.
  • Ability to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with technical specifications, project quality standards, budgets, and schedules.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in either Riyadh or Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dynamic team environment focused on delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across the Kingdom.
