About the Role

Eram Talent is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on managing the complete procurement lifecycle for various EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. The role is critical in ensuring efficient and compliant acquisition of materials, equipment, and services.

Role Overview

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities from sourcing to delivery. This involves ensuring cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery of all required items, and strict adherence to technical specifications, project schedules, and quality standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the successful execution of projects by optimizing procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for project materials, equipment, long-lead items, and subcontracted services in accordance with project requirements.
  • Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluate supplier quotations, and conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations in collaboration with engineering and project teams.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, warranties, and contractual conditions to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Prepare purchase orders, procurement recommendations, and contract documentation for management approval.
  • Coordinate with engineering, planning, QA/QC, logistics, construction, and project management teams to ensure timely procurement and material delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance, expedite critical deliveries, and resolve procurement issues that could impact project schedules.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved vendors while identifying new suppliers to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Track procurement progress, maintain procurement schedules, and provide regular status reports to project management.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures, client specifications, contractual obligations, and applicable HSE and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation while supporting project cost control and procurement risk management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in procurement, preferably within EPC projects or a related industry.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills for commercial evaluations and contract terms.
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities to handle end-to-end procurement processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and identify opportunities for improvement in quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure compliance with procedures, specifications, and standards.
