Project Design Coordinator Thermal Saudi National

About the Role

Tractebel is seeking a Project Design Coordinator to work on behalf of a client. This full-time position will be based in the client’s offices in Jeddah or Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on thermal power generation projects, coordinating design reviews between the EPC Contractor, the Project Owner’s Consultant, and various Owner stakeholders, including HSE, Operations, IT, and Security.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for managing the review and approval of engineering deliverables between the Consultant, EPC contractor, design consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Track the submission, review, and approval processes for all engineering deliverables, including designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Ensure timely distribution of deliverables to relevant parties and keep stakeholders informed of status and schedules.
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules for engineering deliverable reviews, approvals, and submissions.
• Coordinate with Consultant and EPC teams to align deliverables with project timelines and milestones, monitoring progress and mitigating schedule risks.
• Organize and facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to review deliverable status and address issues, preparing and distributing agendas, minutes, and action items.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project quality standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining comprehensive records of submissions, approvals, and revisions.
• Identify and manage potential risks related to deliverable reviews, including delays, quality issues, and compliance concerns, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Assist in managing changes to engineering deliverables, ensuring proper documentation, communication, and approval according to project procedures.
• Prepare regular progress reports on engineering deliverables, highlighting achievements, issues, and upcoming milestones for project management and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in large Thermal Power Projects.
• Proven experience in coordinating engineering deliverables and managing stakeholder interactions.
