About the Role

Awtad Real Estate is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage the company's procurement activities. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The role focuses on ensuring the timely availability of necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for various departments while adhering to company policies and quality standards.

Role Overview

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for coordinating with suppliers, evaluating quotations, negotiating prices, and processing purchase orders. This role involves monitoring deliveries to ensure compliance with approved specifications, quality standards, and budget constraints. The specialist will collaborate closely with technical, operational, warehouse, and finance teams to maintain efficient procurement operations and support business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requests from departments, ensuring clear definition of quantities and specifications.
• Identify potential suppliers and maintain effective relationships with existing suppliers.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers based on price, quality, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and favorable commercial terms within assigned authority.
• Prepare, process, and follow up on purchase orders after obtaining necessary approvals.
• Monitor supplier deliveries to ensure timely arrival of materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Coordinate with warehouse and technical teams to verify the quality, quantity, and specifications of delivered items.
• Review supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts, coordinating with the Finance Department for payment.
• Address delayed deliveries, shortages, incorrect items, and specification discrepancies, coordinating with suppliers for resolution.
• Prepare periodic procurement reports covering purchasing activities, supplier quotations, pending orders, and delayed deliveries.
• Maintain accurate and organized procurement records, including quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and related documents.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance based on pricing, quality, delivery timelines, and compliance with agreed terms.
• Monitor market prices and identify alternative suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with technical, operational, and warehouse departments to ensure timely availability of required materials and supplies.

Required Experience and Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in preparing and processing purchase orders and related documentation.
• Attention to detail for verifying specifications, quality, and quantities.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive procurement reports.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the Purchasing Specialist will work collaboratively with various internal teams including technical, operational, warehouse, and finance departments to achieve procurement objectives.
