Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company has been appointed to provide project management consultancy (PMC) services for the development of the King Salman International Airport in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This project aims to achieve a capacity of up to 120 million travelers by 2030 and 185 million by 2050, with cargo processing capacity up to million tons by 2050. Bechtel’s PMC services encompass three new terminals: Terminal 6, an Iconic Terminal, and a Private Aviation Terminal with hangars.

The Opportunity: Quality Specialist

Bechtel Saudi Arabia is seeking a Quality Specialist to join the team in Riyadh. In this full-time role, you will support the review of contractors’ Quality Management System (QMS) related plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Procedures, and templates, ensuring alignment with the project scope of work. This position is central to maintaining high quality standards and mitigating performance risks throughout the King Salman International Airport development project.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete quality audit checklists, participating in internal and external audits for contractors, suppliers, and project quality programs.
• Review and monitor nonconformities, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions and closure of audit findings.
• Evaluate quality procedures and manuals for compliance with project quality plans and draft new procedures when required.
• Support root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans to address complex quality issues.
• Provide daily support and guidance to project teams in implementing QMS requirements and maintaining compliance.
• Review and assess contractors’ quality submittals, including manuals, procedures, Quality Plans, ITPs, audit schedules, and vendors prequalification.
• Maintain communication with client quality representatives, manage relationships, and ensure consistent reporting.
• Provide input to Project agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a monthly basis.
• Develop standardized quality metrics to support performance monitoring and continual improvement.
• Conduct quality surveillances on-site, perform quality walkdowns, document any observations or non-conformances, and ensure timely resolution and follow-up.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in quality management. The position requires a demonstrated ability to review and determine applicable quality requirements, report new or revised regulatory requirements, monitor non-conforming conditions, and assess the effectiveness of corrective actions. Strong analytical skills are essential for recommending solutions to complex issues and mitigating performance risks.

Reporting Structure and Work Type

The Quality Specialist reports directly to the Sr. Quality Specialist. This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contributing to a significant national infrastructure project.
