About Dar Al Riyadh Consultants

Dar Al Riyadh Consultants is seeking a highly experienced Risk Analyst to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is crucial for identifying, assessing, and monitoring project risks throughout the project lifecycle within various large-scale projects.

The Role of a Risk Analyst

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in risk management, specifically within engineering, construction, infrastructure, or capital projects. The role requires proficiency in various risk management software and processes to ensure robust risk mitigation and strategic project support for informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and monitor project risks across the entire project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project risk registers, mitigation plans, and contingency strategies.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including schedule and cost risk analysis.
  • Facilitate risk workshops with project teams and stakeholders to identify and evaluate project risks.
  • Analyze the impact of risks on project cost, schedule, quality, and overall project objectives.
  • Monitor risk mitigation actions and ensure their timely implementation by project teams.
  • Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for project management and executive leadership.
  • Support project planning by integrating risk assessments with project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Utilize risk management software to perform risk simulations and scenario analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational risk management frameworks, policies, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with project controls, planning, cost, engineering, and commercial teams to support informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Master's Degree or professional certification such as PMI-RMP, FRM, CRM, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management or risk analysis within engineering, construction, infrastructure, or capital projects.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale engineering, EPC, PMC, or infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, RiskWatch, or equivalent risk management software.
  • Strong knowledge of project risk management processes, including risk identification, analysis, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulation and scenario analysis.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, dashboards).
  • Knowledge of project cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and schedule analysis.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

This role requires a collaborative approach to integrate risk assessments with various project functions to support informed decision-making across the organization.
