About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Specialist Physician to provide medical care within their field of specialty. This full-time role involves supervising interns and residents as requested by the Consultant, adhering to current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply medical techniques and principles under the direction of a Consultant, providing care and encouragement to a diverse patient population.
• Inform the Consultant of any problems or discrepancies that may arise.
• Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards.
• Provide required patient care and management in the field of specialty, in accordance with hospital standards of medical care, as requested by the Consultant.
• Conduct assessments, examinations, and compile case histories, assisting in patient diagnosis and management according to diagnostic manuals such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.
• Register detailed medical histories, perform thorough physical examinations, and create patient management and follow-up plans for discussion with the Consultant. Subsequently, record Consultant’s orders, progress notes, and other required documents for outpatients.
• Provide on-call coverage for their specialty on a rotational basis during evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Prepare for and participate in specialist ward rounds as per policy, documenting findings in medical records.
• Follow up on investigation results for outpatients and modify treatment accordingly.
• Attend specialty clinics and outpatient clinics, and share in the on-call schedule as required.
• Perform any other clinical responsibilities as assigned.

Academic and Training Contributions

• Stay informed of the latest techniques and developments in the area of specialization, implementing them selectively to improve technical standards.
• Participate in the educational activities and training programs of the Department.
• Participate in national and international medical conferences.
• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
• Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development within their medical specialty.

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre. The role involves working in a dynamic hospital environment, providing comprehensive medical care and contributing to academic and training initiatives.
