DeepSource Technologies is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator (HPC) to join our team in Riyadh, KSA. This is a full-time position focused on critical infrastructure support within a High-Performance Computing environment.

The Role

The Senior Linux System Administrator will be responsible for administering and supporting the underlying infrastructure of our High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment. A primary focus of this role is to ensure system reliability, security, performance, automation, and availability. The position requires strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain RHEL/Linux servers and HPC compute nodes.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems.
• Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, nodes, and workloads.
• Perform Linux performance tuning, system hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor system health, capacity, performance, and availability.
• Automate infrastructure administration using Ansible, Shell scripting, Python, or similar tools.
• Support integration between compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and HPC platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex Linux, Kubernetes, and infrastructure issues.
• Implement security best practices across Linux and Kubernetes environments.
• Support incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Maintain system configurations, technical documentation, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Mandatory: RHCE – Red Hat Certified Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience as a Linux System Administrator, Linux Engineer, or RHEL Administrator.
• Expert-level administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Strong experience with Kubernetes administration and cluster management.
• Strong automation/scripting experience with tools such as Ansible, Shell/Bash, and Python.
• Experience integrating compute, storage, and networking infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • RHEL / Linux
  • Kubernetes
  • Linux performance tuning
  • Linux patching and hardening
  • System monitoring
  • Troubleshooting
  • Capacity management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting HPC environments / compute clusters.
• CKA – Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
