About the Role

Shade Corporation is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves working on significant buildings and infrastructure projects, reporting directly to the Head of Planning Department. The role requires a professional with extensive experience in project planning within the contracting sector.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for critical planning functions across various projects. While specific daily tasks may vary, core responsibilities include:

• Developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules for buildings and infrastructure initiatives.
• Utilizing advanced planning software to ensure project timelines are met and progress is accurately tracked.
• Collaborating with project teams to integrate planning activities and provide schedule analysis.
• Preparing detailed reports on project status and forecasting, as required by the Head of Planning Department.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Senior Planning Engineer position must meet the following essential qualifications and experience criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 12 years of overall experience in the planning section.
• At least 5 years of specific experience as a Planning Engineer within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• A strong and mandatory background in buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Prior experience with EPC/contracting companies; consultancy experience will not be considered.

Required Skills

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in key planning tools and communication skills:

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong proficiency in MS Project.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Work Environment and Logistics

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within Shade Corporation's planning department. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant construction projects in the region. The preferred joining date for this position is immediately or within one month of the offer acceptance.
