Senior Technical Engineer, Procurement Department

Elegancia Arabia is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Engineer to join its Procurement Department in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a strong technical background in Civil or Architectural Engineering, with a focus on delivering finishing and fit-out projects.

Role Overview

The Senior Technical Engineer will be responsible for evaluating technical documentation, coordinating with various project stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. The role supports procurement processes by providing technical expertise and identifying cost-effective solutions for projects within Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate technical designs, drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, designers, and project teams to ensure technical requirements are met.
• Review structural and architectural design proposals and identify potential design or construction constraints.
• Support value engineering initiatives and recommend practical, cost-effective technical solutions.
• Coordinate technical evaluations of materials, specifications, and supplier submittals.
• Review and follow up on material and technical submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Project teams regarding technical requirements and material availability.
• Review shop drawings, as-built drawings, and other technical documentation.
• Monitor material testing requirements and coordinate technical issues with relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and follow up on outstanding technical matters.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience, with 2 years in the GCC being an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully delivered finishing and fit-out projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, technical specifications, drawings, and engineering standards.
• Experience in technical evaluation, material submittals, and coordination with suppliers and project teams.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
